My one year old daughter had a small amount of bloody mucous in diaper..? - old blood tinged mucous

I had a small amount of mucus with blood in his diaper today. It was just a wet diaper. I called the doctor and was told, because it is not irritable, fever, or refuses to eat, too, just keep an eye on them. But now, he still had a wet diaper and was stained with blood. Not many, but the layer was to pee pink. His cheeks are red, but no fever. Is this a yeast infection or UTI? We have just started her on whole milk and solids, and had a diaper rash, a few days ago. Any help is greatly appreciated!
