How to access second hd after reformatting windows? - linux backup solution

How do I find / install my second hard drive without formatting. I had obviously not been to reinstall Windows, and when you open My Computer does not show the second HD (E) local disk, it does not recognize, I went into Disk Management, and says Disc 1: Dymanic: exterior. I began to recognize in a Linux distribution and the second HD and I can access my files, but Windows does not. I have all my files on it (my backup solution) How can I access Windows? Help? Thanks
